Moved

We found a new townhome in Vineyard we really liked and we moved last week. It's very weird to think we've only been here a week. It's brand new, so the landscaping isn't in, or any of the amenities they advertise and tout when you're looking at the community - pool, wading pool, splash pad, playground, picnic areas, grass.... So I let the boys play in the dirt in front of the house. There's lots of paths for them to ride their scooters, though, and it's been kind of cold and we've all been sick so I guess it doesn't really matter that the rest of the stuff isn't here. It's 3 bedrooms, so we put the boys together in one room and all of their toys in the second bedroom. The first few days it was rough - super rough. Gus kept getting up in the middle of the night - one night he got up around 3:15 and would get up and run around, then lay down, then run around, the lay down...he finally stayed down at 5. Jacob was coughing all night, Noah is apparently very noisy when he's awake and will talk himself back to sleep. It seems like things are finally settling down and everyone is sleeping better. And sleep makes me a much, much nicer person.

Noah is wearing a ski cap because he really, really likes wearing them. He seeks them out and wears them for hours at a time. Part of it may be because he has literally no body fat and is always cold. I don't really know what to do with a skinny kid - I keep trying to feed him pure fat to put a little bit of padding on his bones but then he goes out and runs after his brothers and burns it all off.

Bryan and his brother took the boys to a Superhero Day at the library yesterday. They've been soooo excited about going and had a lot of fun. We bought a Hulk shirt and an Iron Man shirt a couple of months ago and they were pumped and ready yesterday morning in their hero shirts.

These were from a few weeks ago. It was super warm so I got out the water table and it quickly turned to mud.

This week is the beginning of the 9 busy days of the year - the boy's birthdays. Gus's is Tuesday and Jacob's is next Thursday. We're going to hit the zoo, aquarium, maybe go up the canyon and have a fire, have lots of pizza and donuts, get pictures taken, celebrate Easter, watch General Conference and get a little more unpacked. The boys asked for surprise parties, and since I don't do birthday parties, it's going to be pretty low key. Bryan will come home from work, take the birthday kid out for about a half hour while I throw streamers on the wall and ceiling and blow up balloons. Then we'll hide and jump out at him. They'll love it. We did it for my nephew a couple of weeks ago, so Gus and Jacob know what's going to happen. Gus has asked me a few time where he's going to go with Daddy while we set up his party. But they're still very excited for it to happen. They are very weird.
