Dang Batteries

Who has C batteries lying around? No one. Because nothing takes C batteries. NOTHING! Important things take D batteries - flashlights, radios - things you'd want if, say, there's a disaster. Everything else takes AA or AAA batteries. Nothing takes C - except infant and toddler toys. I think the battery makers got together with the toy makers and said "Ok, which one of your batteries sells the least. C? Ok. We're going to make ALL of our toys - not our essential baby stuff, like swings, but just the toys - take C batteries, then parents will buy toys, open them up, the kid will immediately get attached and then when the parents open the battery compartment and realize it takes C batteries, they have to run to the store and buy the batteries, whether they're on sale or not. So 90% of the time they'll pay full price for them. And everything will take 3 batteries too. That way they can't get away with just buying one 2 pack, they HAVE to buy at least 4 batteries and then they have an extra C battery lying around. Then by the time the batteries run out and they do just buy a 2 pack, they won't be able to find that extra battery they had from the time before and they have to go buy another 2 pack, leaving that extra one out again. It'll be fantastic!!!! And they can't return the toy, because the kid has decided he can't live without it!!

I found it! Its very true. When we got our Christmas train we opened the battery thing and saw it took like 5 C batteries. And the weird thing was- we had 5 C batteries just sitting in our back room. But that has never ever happened before. What takes C batteries?
