Gussy is 6!!!

Gussy is 6 and he was so so so very excited. There were a few things he attempted to do when he was 5 that he was sure he would be able to do when he was 6 so he was ready to finally be able to try these things again. One of those things was to climb on the roof of the playground, which he tried to do immediately and it did not go well. He got scared at the top and wouldn't come down without me. So we decided that should wait a few more years. He's going to try to ride a bike without training wheels, get good at his roller skates, climb high on a tree, I'm sure there is more but I can't remember them right now.

Gussy is the sweetest kid alive. He wants to make sure everyone is included and if he's having a good day, he'll walk up to anyone around his age, introduce himself and ask them to play. (On a bad day he just sits by me and doesn't talk to anyone, including me, but there are way more good days than bad). He is generally a good sport about playing with Noah in the mornings before school, although they both tend to be a bit bossy with each other. And the more time he gets to spend with Jacob, the better. If he could be with him all day every day he'd be super happy.

He loves doing legos, swimming, reading, taking pictures, playing video games, playing board games, dressing up, doing puzzles, playing outside, basketball, going to baseball games, hiking, camping, pokemon, roller skating, and lots of other things. His favorite things to do at school are centers, where they work on projects on their own, and singing.

We're so excited Gussy is 6!! He's getting so big, it makes me a little sad. He still loves a snuggle and tells me every day, several times, that he loves me and give me big kisses. He still gets stuck on the little details and when he's overwhelmed, hungry or tired he gets really stuck in his own head and has a very difficult time getting out. But he's getting better at recognizing when he's starting to get upset and calming down before it gets too bad. He's so funny and I'm excited to see what he does next year.
